Multiverse School Newsletter - 03/03
🚀 3/3/24 Multiverse School Weekly Newsletter 🚀 Hey Multiverse Crew,
Burnout prevention week was pretty productive, and so I'm having another one! Partially because most folks are in Project Mode and I'm retooling the calendar.
Also, you can now log in to The Multiverse School.. Also we have again updated the Programs page.
Job Search Standup
This week, we're still taking a break from Job Searching. I'm recovering. I might come back next week but it may wait until after the Official Break in Mid-March.
Let me know here if you got a job, it helps me out and makes me want to keep doing this.Â
Program Updates
There is an actual Portal now that students can log into and register interest in classes. Check it out.
Learn to Code Bootcamp This Summer
I'm grouping everyone who needs to learn to code together this summer. We'll do a very structured walkthrough of the basics. I've got a page together describing the bootcamp program. I will likely tweak this bootcamp to include break weeks, so add 2 weeks to the final end date for you to experience your humanity during your one wild, short life.
Executives Program Invites Out... soon
Ah I didn't get this out. I got the page partly together, but got sidetracked trying to describe all the projects we have available to get involved with. You'll get something soon.
Artificial Intelligence and Agents
Tool Use, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation are the main topics this week, because they get a lot of cross-talk from every other class. Also, hopefully, some Langgraph and bringing Everyone Into The Room with creation of their own Chat Server Agent.
Complex Adaptive Systems and Game Theory
Read Part 1 (to page 33 of the book) of Finite and Infinite Games. Read chapter 3 and 4 of Game Theory - you do not need to deeply understand all of the math, but it may help to understand Bayes's Theorm in order to follow the math more easily.
This week, if y'all did the reading, we'll film- I'll find out on Monday.
Storytelling
Francina will be back this week, and is launching her own alchemy course. Buy her books to support her through Chaos, they are in earnest Very Good Books and you and several other folks would enjoy them. Multiverse students have a code to join her class for free [here)(https://publish.obsidian.md/themultiverseschool/School+Structure/Faculty/Francina+Simone).
CyberSecurity
Let's check in about progress, targets, and systems.
Junior Devs:
Last week we worked on the Agent Chatroom project. It's being chronicled on this page in order. We implemented a SummaryBot, and looked at Cloud Functions. This week, in order to move forward on most of the things we want to move forward on, we'll need to go ahead and Deploy our Chat Server, which is trickier and will involve using Google Compute Engine instead of Google App Engine / Cloud Run.
Senior Devs:
Let's figure out the next phase of the Roadmap with another Sprint Backlog Grooming Session, then re-roadmap. We can discuss some higher-level architectural challenges we might be running into with the chatserver. We'll then make some plans around Multi-Agent Interactions.
Let's also please, please dig into Langgraph this week! I'm soooo excited
