Multiverse School Newsletter - 01/14
Hey Multiverse Crew,
Exciting times ahead! Please note, the January 16th cohort has been moved to January 22nd. This gives me more time to prepare and ensures a smooth project phase kickoff. Here's what's coming up this week:
Job Search Standup
Don't forget to join the Job Search Standup every day at 9:00 AM. It's a crucial space to focus on job hunting or lead-gen activities.Â
Storytelling - Foundations of Storytelling and Character Development
Join us on Monday, January 15th at 6:00 PM for an enchanting journey into storytelling. Discover the art of crafting captivating tales and creating memorable characters. This session is perfect for beginners eager to explore the fundamentals of storytelling and character development.
Artificial Intelligence and Agents
Interested in AI? Join us on January 16th at 5:00 PM for a focus on Autogen & Llama Hub, and learn about constructing a swarm of agents using the Swarm Recruiter pattern.
Learn to Code
And for those just starting out, our regular Learn to Code session on January 18th at 5:00 PM will focus on mob programming for beginners. You will be asked to code in front of other people. It won’t just be you asked to do it though. We’ll all share our screens.
Junior / Senior Split on Integrated Tech Demo
I’ve heard Jr. Devs are fairly intimidated any time we work on something for the senior devs, and seniors are a bit bored when we focus on coding slowly. As a result, we've split the Integrated Tech Demo between Junior and Senior devs. Junior devs will have sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while Tuesdays and Thursdays are reserved for those not in the learning phase. Anyone can attend any session, but anyone placed in the Senior Developers session can only ask questions during the Junior Devs session, not give answers.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday sessions will be focused on keeping everyone following along- come prepared to put your hands on the keyboard.
Tuesday and Thursday will focus on higher-order complexity and patterns that are fairly involved- don’t expect to keep up during the demo as a junior developer (or as a senior)- they’re mostly to explain the pattern, and then give you a video to follow along with.
